What is the difference between a new patient, an existing patient, and a transfer of care?

A new patient fills in their details and goes through full intake. An existing patient is routed to their portal to check out there. A transfer of care is a patient already on a medication who uploads a photo of their existing prescription so a provider can review it and approve continued care.
