Step-by-step instructions for setting the meta title, description, share photo, and alt text on a workflow under SEO and Sharing Settings, so your branding appears whenever the link is shared or found in search.
SEO and sharing metadata is the title, description, and image that appear when someone shares your workflow link — in a text message, on social media, or in a search result. Setting your own metadata keeps your branding consistent everywhere your link travels, and it also helps with SEO. You set this per workflow.
What metadata is
When you send or post a link, a preview usually appears with a title, a short description, and an image. That preview is built from the link's metadata. By default it may not reflect your brand, so setting it yourself ensures your workflow links look on brand wherever they are shared.
Where to go
- Workflows (in your clinic settings)
Open a workflow's SEO settings
01
Go to Workflows in your clinic settings.
02
Find the workflow you want to edit and click the gear icon on the right.
04
Scroll down to the SEO and Sharing Settings section.
Set your metadata
01
Enter your Meta Title. A common format is your business name, a vertical bar separator, and a short tagline, such as "Your Clinic | Number one telehealth in USA."
02
Enter a Description of 120 characters or less.
03
Upload a share photo. A 16:9 aspect ratio (16 wide by 9 tall) works best. You can replace or remove this image later.
04
Add share photo alt text describing the image, for example "Blue vial on a desktop with a blue matte background, product shot." Alt text describes the picture for people who cannot see it, such as those using a screen reader.
Confirm it worked
01
In Workflows, click the links icon and grab the link you want, such as the all-products link.
02
Paste that link into a text message, a social post, or a link preview tool.
03
Confirm your custom title, description, and image appear in the preview.
Tip
Write the description as a short, compelling sentence a prospective patient would want to click, since it doubles as your search and social preview text. Keep it under 120 characters so it is not cut off.
