Clinics using an Own Provider Network can decide who handles patient care in each state.
Open State Coverage from the clinic portal. The page is titled Exam Routing by State.
Each state has one of three Routing Controls:
- Your Clinic
- Healthaide
- Disabled
Your Clinic:
Select Your Clinic when your own provider network should handle care in that state. For an order to route to your clinic, Healthaide also checks that your clinic has an active provider with the applicable state license saved in the platform.
The routing decision uses the state that applies to the specific order. If a patient selects a delivery address that is different from the primary address on their profile, the delivery state for that order can determine routing. Healthaide keeps that order state with the checkout so routing, provider assignment, licensure checks, and the applicable exam fee use the same state.
If the state is set to Your Clinic but there is no eligible clinic provider licensed in that state, the Healthaide Provider Network acts as the fallback.
Healthaide:
Select Healthaide when the Healthaide Provider Network should handle care in that state. Healthaide is also the default coverage type when no clinic-specific state setting is saved.
Disabled:
Select Disabled when you do not want either your clinic providers or the Healthaide Provider Network to accept treatment applications in that state. Patients in a Disabled state cannot apply for care through that clinic.
Exam Assignment:
State Coverage is only part of the routing setup for an Own Provider Network.
Go to Catalog > Products, open the treatment or medication, and review Exam Assignment. Your clinic should assign its health intake screening exam to the applicable treatment or medication when your own providers are going to handle that care.
If your clinic does not have its own health intake screening exam assigned to the treatment, the Healthaide exam acts as the fallback. Healthaide handles the clinical review through the Healthaide Provider Network, and the normal Healthaide exam fee applies until your clinic exam is assigned.
After changing Routing Controls on Exam Routing by State, select Save Changes.
