Create a custom treatment category for workflows

SOPHow Patients Use the SystemUpdated Aug 22, 2026

Step-by-step instructions for creating a custom category under Catalog, assigning treatments and setting their display order, and confirming the category tab appears on your workflow checkout page.

Custom Categories let you group treatments into browsable tabs on your workflow checkout page. When a patient opens a workflow link, they can filter by the categories you create — for example Popular, New, Orals, or Injectables. You control each category's name, emoji, color, which treatments belong to it, and the order those treatments appear in.

Where to go

  • Catalog > Custom Categories (in the clinic portal)

Create a category

  1. Open the Catalog dropdown in the left-hand navigation.
  2. Below Products, click Custom Categories.
  3. Click the New Category button.
  4. Enter a name for the category, such as Popular or New.
  5. Choose an emoji for the category (for example, a fire emoji for Popular).
  6. Choose a color for the category.
  7. Click to create the category.

Assign treatments and set their order

  1. With the category selected, look at the treatment list on the right-hand side.
  2. Use the checkmarks to add each treatment you want included in this category.
  3. Arrange the treatments into the order you want patients to see them. For example, drag the treatment you want first, such as Tirzepatide, to the top.
  4. Save the products to apply your selections and ordering.

Confirm it worked

  1. Open the workflow you want to check, choose All Products, and copy its link.
  2. Open the link in a new tab and let it load.
  3. Confirm your new category appears as its own tab (for example, a Popular tab) containing the treatments you assigned, in the order you set.

Tip

Create categories that match how your patients shop, such as Popular for your best sellers or a route-of-administration split like Orals and Injectables. The emoji and color help each tab stand out on the checkout page.
